ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे पुत्र जब मैं शिवलिंग की ऊपरी भाग पर हाथ रखना चाहा तो वहां जाना की बढ़कर भूलोक में जा पहुंचा जब मैं भू लोक में पहुंचा तो वह लिंग बढ़कर सूर्य लोक में जा पहुंचा जिस समय में सूर्य लोक में पहुंचा तो वह लिंक स्वर्ग लोक में जा पहुंचा है नारद अस्तु जब मैं वहां भी पीछा करता हुआ पहुंचा तो वह लिंग बढ़कर चंद्रलोक में जा पहुंचा इस प्रकार वह लिंग और लोग शुक्र लोक हम लोक बृहस्पति लोग सप्तलोक महलोक जैन लोग विष्णु लोक स्कंद लोक शिवलोक तथा गांव लोक आदि में गया मैं जहां भी पहुंचता वहीं से बढ़कर वह लिंग आगे को चला जाता था इस प्रकार माय अत्यंत दुखी हो गया हे नारद उसे समय खेत की के पुष्पम में मुझे दुखी देखकर इस प्रकार पूछा है ब्राह्मण इतने घबराए हुए कहां चले जा रहे हो मैंने उसे सब वृतांत का सुनाया तब केतकी पुष्पानी या सुझाव दिया है ब्राह्मण अब तुम इस लिंक का पीछा छोड़कर अपने स्थान को लौट चलो माई सब लोग के सामने यह बात कह दूंग कि तुमने शिवलिंग के ऊपरी भाग को स्पर्श कर दिया है खेत की पुष्प की यह बात मैंने स्वीकार कर लेता तो प्राण मेन उसी स्थान लेकर रेवत तट की ओर चल दिया मार्ग में मुझे सुरभि अर्थात गांव मिली उसने भी खेत की पुष्प के समान मुझे सब हाल पूछा और मेरे बताएं ने पर यह विश्वास दिलाया कि मैं भी तुम्हारी अभिलाषा पूर्ण कर दूंगी तथा सबके सामने यह कह दूंगी तुमने इस मूर्ति को छू लिया है तब मैं खेत की पुष्प तथा सुरभि को ले अत्यंत अहंकार में भरकर विष्णु जी के पास जा पहुंचा
