हे नारद भूतेश्वर शिवलिंग के समीप ही भैरेश्वर शिवलिंग विराजमान है वही शैली होते ईश्वर नमक शिवलिंग है उसकी सेवा करके चली हॉट में संपूर्ण विधाओं को प्राप्त किया था वह मोदी तीर्थ के तट पर चंद्रशेखर शिवजी का लिंग प्रतिष्ठित है वह चंद्रमा ने शिवजी का तप किया था और उसके मस्तक पर निवास पाया था गंगा जी के बीच में खुब्जा तीर्थ तथा पूर्ण तीर्थ विद्यमान है वही सोमेश्वर नमक शिव जी का लिंग है उसे लिंग की पूजा करने से मनुष्य दोनों लोगों में प्रसन्नता प्राप्त करता है अग्नि तीर्थं में अग्रिश्वर नमक शिव जी का लिंग विराजमान है वायु तीर्थ में पवन ईश्वर नमक शिव जी का लिंग स्थित है जो संपूर्ण पापों को नष्ट करने वाला है हे नारद गंगा के पश्चिमी तट पर तपोवन है वहां लक्ष्मण ने बड़ी तपस्या की थी और शिवजी की कृपा से निष्पाप हुए थे जब रामचंद्र जी लंका जीत कर सीता तथा लक्ष्मण सहित अयोध्या में आए तो उन्हें छह रोग हो गया क्योंकि उन्होंने मेघनाथ ब्राह्मण का वध किया था वस्तु वशिष्ठ मुनि के उपदेश अनुसार हुए तब तपस्या करने के हेतु उसे तपोवन में जा पहुंचे वहां उन्होंने 12 वर्ष तक बिना भोजन किया तपस्या की फिर 100 वर्ष तक हो केवल वायु का भाषण करके पांच अक्षर मंत्र का जाप करते हुए एक पाव से पृथ्वी पर खड़े हो गए शिवजी का ध्यान धरते रहे उसे स्थान शिवजी प्रसन्न होकर उसके पास पहुंचे और यह बोल ही लक्ष्मण आप तुम शुद्ध हो गए हो आज तो तुम्हारा रोग दूर हो जाएगा इतना कह कर शिवजी हम पर ध्यान हो गए तथा कुछ हमसे लक्ष्मण द्वारा स्थापित शिवलिंग में प्रविष्ट होकर वहां स्थित रहे वह शिवलिंग लक्ष्मण नाथ नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुआ उसका दर्शन करने से कोई रोग नहीं रहता हे नरत माया क्षेत्र में जो शिवलिंग विराजमान है उसमें से कुछ का वर्णन मैं तुम से किया नेपाल में पशुपतिनाथ नमक जो शिवलिंग है वह हमेशा भाग अर्थात भैंस के शरीर का एक भाग है पशुपतिनाथ महादेव अपने भक्तों को अत्यंत आनंद प्राप्त करने वाले हैं नेपाल में मुक्तिनाथ नमक दूसरा शिवलिंग भी है उनका पूजन करने से भी दोनों लोक में आनंद मिलता है इतना कथा सुनकर ब्रह्मा जी ने कहा हे नारद चारों दिशाओं के शिवलिंग का वर्णन मैं तुमसे किया अब तुम और क्या सुनना चाहते हो वह कहो

O Narada, Bhaireshwar Shivling is situated near Bhuteshwar Shivling. There is a Shivling named Shaili Hote Ishwar. By serving it, Chali Hote had attained all the knowledge. The Linga of Chandrashekhar Shivji is established on the banks of Modi Tirtha. The Moon had performed penance of Shivji and found a place on his head. Khubja Tirtha and Purna Tirtha are present in the middle of Ganga. There is a Linga of Someshwar Shivji. By worshipping this Linga, a man gets happiness in both the worlds. The Linga of Agrishwar Shivji is situated in Agni Tirtha. The Linga of Pawan Ishwar Shivji is situated in Vayu Tirtha, which destroys all sins. O Narada, there is Tapovan on the western bank of Ganga. There Laxman had performed great penance and became sinless by the grace of Shivji. When Ramchandra ji came to Ayodhya with Sita and Laxman after winning Lanka, he got six diseases because he had killed Meghnath Brahmin. As per the advice of Vashisht Muni, he went to Tapovan to perform penance. There he did penance without eating anything for 12 years. Then for 100 years, speaking only air, chanting five syllable mantra, he stood on the earth on one foot and kept meditating on Lord Shiva. Pleased with that place, Lord Shiva reached near him and said, “Lakshman, you have become pure, today your disease will be cured.” Saying this, Lord Shiva started meditating on him and entered the Shivling established by Laxman and remained there. That Shivling became famous by the name Laxman Nath. By seeing it, no disease remains. O Narada, I have described to you some of the Shivlings that are situated in the Maya region. The Shivling named Pashupatinath in Nepal is always a part, that is, a part of the body of a buffalo. Pashupatinath Mahadev gives immense joy to his devotees. There is another Shivling named Muktinath in Nepal, by worshipping him also one gets joy in both the worlds. After listening to this much story, Lord Brahma said, “O Narada, I have described to you the Shivlings of all the four directions. Now tell me what else you want to hear.”
