हे नारद यह विचार कर राजा ने वशिष्ठ जी को श्राप देने की इच्छा से अपने हाथ में पानी लिया उसे पानी रानी ने उसे समझाते हुए यह कहा है स्वामी वेद का कथन है कि गुरु चाहे जितना क्रोध करें परंतु शिष्य को उसे प्रतिकार नहीं करना चाहिए या सुनकर राजा ने वशिष्ठ जी को श्राप नहीं दिया परंतु वशिष्ठ जी के शराब के कारण वह स्वयं महा भयानक राक्षस होकर वन में चला गया और कल्पमद के नाम से प्रसिद्ध संसार में हुआ वह धर्म कर्म को त्याग कर वन में जो भी जीव दिखाई देता उसी को पकड़ कर खा जाता था उसकी दशा में उसने एक मुनि को देखा कप अपवाद ने बिना कोई विचार किया मनी के समीप पहुंचकर उन्हें इस प्रकार पकड़ लिया जिस प्रकार शेर खरगोश को पकड़ लेते हैं उसे समय होने की स्त्री अपने पत्नी को राक्षस रूपी राजा के पंजे में देखकर अत्यंत दुखी हुई हे नारद तब मुनि की स्त्री ने राजा की प्रार्थना करते हुए यह कहा है राजन तुम ऐसा को कम क्यों कर रहे हो तुम अन्य बनाकर ब्रह्म हत्या मत करो यदि तुम मेरे पति को नहीं छोड़ेंगे तो मेरा जीवन कठिन हो जाएगा क्योंकि बिना पुरुष के स्त्री का जीवन महान कष्टप्रद है यदि तुम मेरे पति को छोड़ दोगे तो तुम्हें बड़ा पुण्य होगा हे नारद इस प्रकार मनी पत्नी ने राजा की बहुत अनुवाई बिनाई की परंतु राक्षस रूपी राजा को खोज भी दया नहीं आई वह उसके सामने ही ब्राह्मण का सर तोड़कर उसे खो गया यह देखकर उसकी स्त्री ने सती होने की तैयारी की दादू प्रांत चिंता बनाकर जब वह उसमें बैठी तो राजा को श्राप देते हुए इस प्रकार कहने लगे हे राजन जब तुम अपनी स्त्री के साथ भोग करना चाहोगे उसे समय तुम्हारे मृत्यु हो जाएगी इतना कहकर वह मुन्नी पत्नी अपनी पति के साथ ही देव लोग को चली गई और वहां अनेक प्रकार के सुंदर भोग करने लगे इधर शराब की अवधि समाप्त होने पर राजा भी अपने पूर्व रूप को प्राप्त हो घर लौट आया राजा की रानी मध्यन्ती को मुनि की स्त्री का श्राप का वृतांत ज्ञात हो चुका था वस्तु एक दिन जब राजा ने उसके साथ मिथुन करना चाहा उसे समय रानी ने विधवा होने के भाई से उसे वह कार्य करने से रोक दिया परिणाम स्वरुप राजा मिथुन के बिना अपना भोग को बेकार समझ कर राज पाठ त्याग वन को चला गया उसे समय राजा के मंत्रियों ने वशिष्ठ जी के पास जाकर उन्हें सब वृतांत सुनाया और यह कहा हे प्रभु इस समय सूर्यवंश का आस्था हुआ जाता है वस्तु आप कोई अनुग्रह करने की कृपा करें मंत्री की बात सुनकर वशिष्ठ जी ने सूर्यवंश के स्थिर रहने की निर्माता रानी मध्यन्ती द्वारा एक बालक को उत्पन्न किया उसे बालक का नाम अंशुमान हुआ उसके जन्म लेने पर संपूर्ण संसार के मनोरथ सिद्ध हुए हे नारद उधर कल्प पाठ जब वन में पहुंचा तो उसने एक महा भयानक स्त्री को देखा तो उसके पीछे-पीछे अंत में क्रोध पूर्वक चल रही थी वह स्त्री ब्रह्म हत्या थी जो ब्राह्मण का वध करने के कारण राजा के पीछे लगी हुई थी राजा ने उनसे मुक्ति पाने के हेतु बड़े-बड़े तीर्थ की परिक्रमा की तथा अनेक मित्रों का जाप किया परंतु उन्हें कोई लाभ नहीं हुआ उसे समय राजा ने मिथिलापुरी में पहुंचकर गौतम ऋषि से भेंट किया और उन्हें प्रणाम करने के उपरांत सब हल्का सुनाया तब गौतम जी ने राजा कल्पमात को महाबल शिवलिंग का पूजन करने के लिए कहा गौतम जी की आज्ञा अनुसार राजा ने गांव कारण तीर्थ में पहुंचकर स्थान किया तथा महाबल शिवलिंग का पूजन किया उस राजा का पाप नष्ट हो गया और ब्रह्म हत्या दूर हो गई

O Narada, in this way Muni's wife pleaded a lot with the king, but the king in the form of a demon did not even show mercy. He broke the head of the Brahmin in front of her and lost it. Seeing this, his wife prepared to become a Sati. When she sat in the Dadu Prant, she cursed the king and said, O King, when you want to have sex with your wife, you will die at that time. Saying this, Muni's wife went to the Dev Lok along with her husband and started having many types of delicious pleasures there. On the other hand, after the period of drinking was over, the king also returned home after getting back his previous form. The king's queen Madhyaanti had come to know about the curse of Muni's wife. One day, when the king wanted to have sex with her, the queen, being a widow, stopped him from doing that. As a result, the king, considering his sex without sex useless, abandoned his kingdom and went to the forest. At that time, the king's ministers went to Vashishtha ji and narrated the whole incident to him and said, O Lord, at this time the Suryavansh is in trouble. Please be kind enough to show some favor to me. On listening to the minister, Vashishtha ji gave birth to a child from Queen Madhyanti, who was the creator of the stability of the Suryavansh. The child was named Anshumaan. On his birth, the wishes of the whole world were fulfilled. O Narada, on the other hand, when Kalpa Path reached the forest, he saw a very scary woman who was following him angrily. That woman was a Brahmahatya (murderer of Brahma), who was after the king because he had killed a Brahmin. To get rid of her, the king circumambulated the big pilgrimage sites and chanted many mantras, but he did not get any benefit. At that time, the king reached Mithilapuri and met Gautam Rishi and after saluting him, narrated the whole incident to him. Then Gautam ji asked King Kalpamat to worship Mahabal Shivling. As per Gautam ji's order, the king reached the village Karan Tirtha and took a vow and worshipped Mahabal Shivling. The sin of that king was destroyed and Brahmahatya was removed.
