ब्रह्मा जी बोले हैं नारद विष्णु जी के हाथ से वह चकराना चल सका जिसके चलने से पहले हो जाती है विष्णु जी पर्वत के समान खड़े रह गए तब विष्णु जी ने मंत्र पढ़ा जिसके पढ़ने से शरीर तो हिल सका परंतु चक्र को चलने की शक्ति फिर भी नहीं मिला उसे समय मैं विष्णु जी को इस प्रकार समझाया है विष्णु जी जो कुछ होना है वह होगा आप व्यर्थ ही है क्यों करते हैं क्या दधीचि मुनि का वचन कभी डाल सकता है अब आप इस पक्ष को शिवजी की इच्छा समझकर ही छोड़ दीजिए और अपने घर को चलिए मेरे समझाने पर विष्णु जी अपने धाम को चले गए तब वीरभद्र अनेक प्रकार के द्रव करते हुए यज्ञ के समय पहुंचे सर्वप्रथम उन्होंने यज्ञ का स्थान फूंक दिया समस्त यज्ञ के पात्र गंगा जी में फेंक दिए तथा जल डालकर सब या कुंड पूजा दिए उसे समय यज्ञ हिरण का रूप धारण कर वहां से भाग चला इस बात को जानकर वीरभद्र तुरंत उसे आकाश में पड़कर ले आए तथा उसका सिर काट डाला उन्होंने धर्मराज दक्ष प्रजापति तथा कश्यप के मस्तक पर लात मारी इस प्रकार आने को द्रव कर सबको यथाशक्ति प्रतिफल दिया दादू प्राप्त हुए इस चिंता भूमि में प्रलय करने वाले रुद्र के समान विराजमान हुए उसे समय मैं तथा विष्णु जी आदि ने शिवजी के निकट जाकर यह विनय की की है प्रभु आपके घर वीरभद्र ने यज्ञ को विध्वंस कर सबको व्याकुल कर दिया है दक्ष प्रजापति ने वास्तव में ही बहुत निरबुद्ध का काम किया जो आपको अवधूत समाज कार्य में नहीं बुलाया आपने जो सबको दंड दिया सो सब इसी योग्य थे परंतु आप अब आप हमारे अपराधों पर ध्यान ना करके हमें क्षमा कीजिए आप कृपा करके यज्ञ को पूरा करें तथा ऐसा उपाय करें कि जिससे दक्ष भी जीवित हो सके है शिव जी ऐसा करके आप सबको आनंद प्रधान कीजिए यदि आप इस प्रकार दंड न देते तो धर्म नष्ट होकर पाप फैल जाता और आपकी महिमा को भूल जाने से मनुष्य वेद रहित हो जाते हे नारद शिवजी या प्रार्थना सुनकर अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए तब उन्होंने वीरभद्र के पास पहुंचकर दया दृष्टि से देखा उसे समय वीरभद्र शिवजी के चरणों पर गिर पड़े तथा या विनती की आप जो मुझे आज्ञा देंगे मैं उसी का पालन करूंगा तब शिवजी बोले है वीरभद्र अब तुम सब गाना क्रोध को शांत करो क्योंकि सब लोग अपना-अपना दंड प्राप्त कर चुके हैं यह कह कर शिवजी ने वहां से सब गानों को विदा किया तथा सबकी और कृपा से दृष्टिपात किया जिससे सब आंख पहले जैसे ही हो गए जो उसे युद्ध में मारे गए थे वह सभी सोते हुए मनुष्य के समान उठ खड़े हुए फिर शिवजी ने ब्रिंग के बकरे की दाढ़ी जमाई तथा दक्ष के शरीर पर बकरे काशीर हराकर उसको जीवित किया उसे समय दक्ष ने बकरे के स्वर में शिवजी की स्तुति की ताड़ूपरान शिव जी ने प्रसन्न होकर यज्ञ में पूर्ण करने के लिए आज्ञा दी इस प्रकार शिवजी की आज्ञा द्वारा यश पूर्ण हुआ सबको यज्ञ भाग देकर शिवजी को भी पूर्ण भाग दिया गया श्री शिव शंकर यज्ञ पूर्ण करके अपने समस्त गानों सहित कैलाश पर्वत को लौट गए विष्णु जी माय तथा समस्त देवता भी अपने-अपने लोक को चले गए हे नारद मैंने अपनी बुद्धि के अनुसार वीरभद्र के अवतार की कथा तुम्हें का सुनाई यह चरित्र बहुत ही पवित्र है जो इसको पढ़े या सुनेगा वह इस लोक में प्रसन्न रहकर अंत में शिव पद को प्राप्त करेगा

On my persuasion, Vishnu Ji went to his abode. Then Veerbhadra, while making many kinds of liquids, reached the time of the yajna. First of all, he blew up the place of the yajna, threw all the utensils of the yajna in the Ganga and by pouring water, performed the puja of all the kunds. At that time, Veerbhadra took the form of a deer and ran away from there. Knowing this, Veerbhadra immediately brought him down in the sky and beheaded him. He kicked Dharmaraj Daksh Prajapati and Kashyap on their heads. In this way, by making the liquids move, he rewarded everyone as per his capacity. Dadu was attained and he sat in this land like Rudra, the destroyer. I and Vishnu ji etc. went to Shiv ji and requested that Lord, Veerbhadra has disturbed everyone by destroying the yagya in your house. Daksh Prajapati has really done a very foolish thing by not inviting you to the Avdhoot Samaj work. The punishment you gave everyone was worthy of it, but now you should forgive us by not paying attention to our crimes. Kindly complete the yagya and do something so that Daksh can also be alive. Shiv ji, by doing this, give happiness to everyone. If you had not punished in this way, then religion would have been destroyed and sin would have spread and by forgetting your glory, people would have become devoid of Vedas. Narad Shiv ji was very pleased to hear this prayer. Then he went to Veerbhadra and looked at him with compassion. At that time Veerbhadra fell at Shiv ji's feet and requested that whatever you order me, I will follow that. Then Shiv ji said Veerbhadra, now all of you calm down your anger because everyone has received their punishment. Saying this, Shiv ji sent all the singers away from there and looked at everyone with compassion due to which all the eyes became as they were before. He was killed in the war. All of them stood up like sleeping men. Then Shiv Ji glued the beard of Bring's goat and defeated the goat Kashir on Daksh's body and brought him back to life. At that time Daksh praised Shiv Ji in the voice of a goat. Shiv Ji, being pleased, gave permission to complete the yagya. Thus the yagya was completed by Shiv Ji's order. Everyone was given a share of the yagya and Shiv Ji was also given a full share. After completing the yagya, Shri Shiv Shankar returned to Mount Kailash with all his sons. Vishnu Ji and all the gods also went to their respective worlds. O Narada, according to my wisdom I have narrated to you the story of the incarnation of Veerbhadra. This character is very sacred. Whoever reads or listens to this will remain happy in this world and finally attain the position of Shiva.
